a survey shows strong support for a station
In XXXX, the Newburgh Train Campaign conducted an online survey asking what Newburgh citizens thought about the current state of public transport. Over 6 people responded, nearly a third of all residents.
The survey captured a strong sense of frustration (and sometimes resignation) that the town has no decent bus or rail service. Some spoke about the inconvenience of having to drive to work or nearby rail stations, others mentioned the limits on job searches without having a car. There were many other reasons too.
But a reocurring theme was the want for a train station with some clear statements about the advantage being connected once again to the railway.
