The campaign has relaunched itself over the last year with activities, meetings and signifiant political activity, brining the opening of a Newburgh station that little bit nearer.

Local MP to speak to Transport Minister about Newburgh station

Wendy Chamberlain, MP for North East Fife, met campaign supporters at the Lindores Abbey Distillery to provide an update on her meeting with the Minister for Rail Huw Merriman. They discussed what financial support may be available for a new Newburgh Station.

The great pupil logo design competition!

The competition asked local pupils to come up with a design centred around getting a new station, Newburgh and surrounding area...and a bear, naturally.

Over XX entries were received in December. Campaign member then reviewed the entries and decided on a winner...

 

And the winner is...!!

By the way, all the drawings were really fabulous. Thanks guys.

The Newburgh train campaign relaunched

In June of this year, over 80 people from Newburgh, Abernethy and the surrounding area attended a campaign relaunch at the nearby Distillery. The campaign has been gathering pass ever since.
